Magdala
Turning Magdala into a distinctive brand.
The Challenge
Magdala was already present in the US market but lacked a distinctive narrative. The challenge was to move beyond product attributes and build a positioning that could live both on- and off-trade. Packaging became a central brand asset, carrying the story, strengthening recognition and helping the brand stand out in a visually driven category.

Strategy
Today’s context demands clear decisions. Managing waste is no longer enough. Industry must rethink its role in a system that requires balance and responsibility. Batlle integrates circularity, efficiency and innovation into its everyday operations.

Co-defining
the direction
A collaborative Spotlight Session with the client to explore and shape possible brand concepts, aligning strategic thinking with creative direction from the start and building a shared understanding of where the brand should go.
International concept testing
Potential concepts were tested with consumers in San Diego through moderated focus groups, helping identify the narratives that felt most credible and appealing.

The Mediterranean is more than a place. It’s a way of living. Born on these shores, Magdala captures that spirit, blending Valencia orange peel with a smooth, aromatic expression.
Magdala was positioned as an icon of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Inspired by sunset moments and the aperitif ritual, the brand draws on its orange origin and relaxed elegance.

Design
Magdala’s design is built around symbols tied to its origin. The tree in the logotype anchors the identity, evoking land and cultivation, while the label’s composition, colour and finishes convey authenticity and quality.

The graphic system grows from the product itself. Lines drawn from the bottle’s silhouette and its colour palette create a lively visual language that extends beyond the bottle into a coherent brand universe.

"Working with B-Bruce on our brand repositioning through consumer research and strategic workshops allowed us to create a stronger, more appealing product with precise messaging, while redesigning our identity and website ensured all objectives were clearly and successfully achieved with the team."
